Hi Dilip,
Good to hear from you and thanks for the details.
What i personally feel, First, If you think you can improve your GMAT scores, and this is not your best shot. I would suggest re-take the exam and give it another try.
See if you have the option to defer the intake as given the time you have it might be difficult to take exam-apply-get admit from other colleges.
Second, compared to your current role and given this option alone, i think it should work out well.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Adi

Hi Adi,
I have an evaluation for the GMBA on 11th of August, could you throw some light on the process? What kind of essays/case studies are we talking about?
Also, does the process go beyond 4 hours? Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Sonali

Hi Sonali,
I applied through my GMAT.
Sorry ! I exactly don't remember the essay/case study. :)
The case study will have all the information that you need. There are few questions on strategy, approach, so all you need to do is understand the context and give suggestions.
Essay - I would suggest be up to date with current affairs.
Let me see if I can get some samples.
Yes, chances are that process will extend beyond 4 hours and depends on the number of ppl appearing on that day.
Time also varies depending whether you have appeared through SPJAT/GMAT.
So, suggest keep a day in hand.
If you have any further queries feel free to shoot.
ATB !
Cheers,
Adi

Hi Adi, once again thanks for the helpful replies, much obliged :)
I'm in the process of finalizing the laptop, and in the specifications provided by SPJ they mention 'Laptop should be free from P2P/torrent or other illegal softwares.'

- What do you guys do to catch a weekend football match or a few episodes of a sitcom?
- What is the wifi download(not bandwidth)speed in the hostel?
<Reason for editing:
This site discourages discussions that promote piracy or illegal downloads. Also, keep in mind that the institution you are joining may not appreciate its future students trying to find workarounds to circumvent their policies.
Let's keep the discussions clean, useful and legal, folks.>

Hi Anand,
What do you guys do to catch a weekend football match or a few episodes of a sitcom?
We have a dedicated recreation room, with a TV and a DTH connection that shows all the channels. So you can just walk in and watch the matches live.
What is the wifi download(not bandwidth)speed in the hostel?
It is very slow. However, I see no issues for streaming and most of the times it works fine.

Thanks MCB...its so very true... Anand that is definitely something which we should keep in our mind...
I guess adityasuperman (he is another aditya from our batch :) ) answered your query...
Regarding sitcom get in on HD or you can watch if available on youtube...
So you are getting all set it seems....
ATB... do drop in if you have further queries..
Also, would suggest make a group there are quite a few things which batchmates can discuss in terms of what to carry.. visa.. pre-learning.. etc... etc..

Hi guys,
I got through gmba for dec 2012 batch in IT management.
Firstly i have a couple of questions
1) is there any way i can defer the offer to april 2013 batch ?
2) can anyone provide me an idea about how much it would cost for travel/food/miscellaneous expenses at sydney, dubai, singapore locations
3) can anyone give me details about what companies came for IT management recruitment and what was the percentage placement for the bacth
thanks in advance.
below is my evaluation experience for the students waiting for their calls
the evaluation was divided into 3 phases. 1st there is a writing test that involves a case study specific to your chosen specialization along with two essays on open topics/your experience and learnings so far. for eg situations where you acted a certain way..why? etc
next is the panel interview.questions like why mba, why spjain, why IT, tell about yourself. i was asked few questions about academics as well.future plans. interests hobbies etc
then there is a one on one interaction with spjain president nitish jain. just a casual interaction about your profile
best of luck for those trying and please provide inputs to my questions
