Hi,
Apologies for delayed response as I was away during weekend.

First of all, I need to inform you that I started working in Railways at the age of 17 years and currently I am 27 ONLY.

Further, my reason for opting for MBA is as under-
1. Will come on the front side of the business as CAs are mostly associated with backends.
2. Will get growth in remunerations as well
3. Doing an MBA from IIM/ISB is an achievement in itself.

I am looking to do MBA FOR EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS and will do MBA only if I get selected for IIM/ISB.
As far as my knowledge goes, IIM asks for 7 years of exp for exp MBA and ISB asks only for 24 month.

Pls guide me considering the above facts about my profile.

Regards

That piece of data changes the equation quite a bit.

The first point (elaborated more explicitly) is a valid reason to mention in the application. The remaining 2 (while being obvious motivators) aren't impactful enough to include in applications.

Since your profile is unusual from an MBA application angle, check with the admissions team on the eligibility before you take the next steps.

Hi All,

My question is a bit general, I am really worried regarding my academics below
X 68% CBSE
XII 67% CBSE
B.E 65% RGTU (MP) It's a gov univ .

Although these are not very good but not very poor either. Currently working as a Soft Engg with 4yrs of exp also close to non curricular activities.
But despite of this I am still hopeful about securing a good GMAT score . So will I be able to make it to top Bschools or at least some decent ones in India. If yes with decent ones after say getting degree are they really good in providing placements. I can't try for two years programs as I don't have too much time some family responsibilities say.
Could you suggest in the above case what could be my strategies as I am looking for some nice placements as well for Leadership.

Don't worry about what's already happened. Focus on getting a high GMAT score. That's a good signal to the Admissions officer that you are good with academics.

Placements work very differently in GMAT MBA programs than they do with traditional 2-year Indian MBA. Read up more on it, so you aren't disappointed later.

Hi,
After a month of introspection, I have decided to go for Executive MBA, though my targets would be IIM-A/B or ISB only.
have two queries and need your help on these-
1. What should be my calender planning for GMAT if I am targetting to participate in MBA 2017-18 classes.
2. As a professional, what package do you offer to MBA Aspirants and in which areas you offer your help

Further, I look forward to speak to you on phone, please let me know if that is possible for you.

Request you to please revert.

Here's a post that you may find useful: How to plan your MBA Application Timeline.

The program starting schedule for Indian programs is different. So you'll have to adjust the plans accordingly.

Get done with the GMAT 2-3 months before the deadline if possible.

GMAT Preparation - General Queries

Hi Guys

I am 23 and a qualified Chartered Accountant. I have started my career with KPMG in accounting advisory services.

Doing MBA is rather a passion than a degree.

I have a career of scoring merit in my all exams except CA finals.

I have a lot of confusions:
1. About the fees: Even though I get a good score in GMAT, I feel I would not take such a hefty risk to invest such a big amount in college fees. As the break even would after 2 years.

2. Scholarships: I searched a lot on internet but nothing useful was found. Please if u can guide what is the basis of scholarship so I can prepare accordingly keeping the scholarship in mind.

3. Domain: I am from a finance background but I am interested in marketing. So can I change the domain and would it help me as I want to have my own business and not in a job for too long.

I am very confused and if get a proper guidance I can become more focussed and start working on my MBA

Thanks in advance

This statement might be confusing to the Admissions Committee, Harshul. An MBA degree is a means rather than an end, so they'd expect a 'sales pitch' on those lines,

That's true. The fees are out of reach for most Indians. Most rely on loans, scholarships apart from personal savings.

You could aim for merit based scholarships. Here's how these Indian MBA applicants got scholarships.

In theory, you can. but in practice it'll be difficult to do so, as your next employer (after MBA) would also look at the skills that you already have that'll help them,
