getting into a top B-school the likes of INSEAD or ISB since i prefer a consulting career.
The academic performance could be an issue with the top schools, as they get many applicants who have strong profiles, high GMAT scores and excellent grades as well.

It isn't very clear what you do in those roles, Akhil. If it involves managerial and leadership aspects, you are in a good place.
If not, you have around 9-10 months to make get a few impressive accomplishments in your resume.

A strong GMAT score can help, as bschools see it as being more aligned in testing the skills you'd use in the MBA program.
Other than that graded courses that focus on statistical and business oriented topics could help.
But these are only mitigating strategies. None of them can completely wipe the slate clean.

Yes. There are several b-schools that offer non-cosignor loans.

If you can't get into a bschool that offers non-cosignor loans, your uncle could act as the cosignor. Do some more research on how that process works.

$150K is a lot of money even for folks who earn in dollars. For Indians, it becomes more difficult. Don't start applying till you are completely sure that it's a risk you are able to handle.
Dushyantv wrote:(2) how is my academics according to you? Can i get decent B school?
The GPA looks decent. But bschools will look at the undergrad university as well.
It's too early for you to start thinking about whether you'll get in or not. Start building your profile and be patient.
Dushyantv wrote:3) Howmany years should i work here at iGATE Patni for USA MBA ?
The average experience for US schools is 5 years at the start of the program.
Dushyantv wrote: 4) When should i start prep of GMAT and TOEFL for MBA in top B schools.
1 year before you start applying for the GMAT, and around 6 months before application deadlines will give you enough buffer.
Dushyantv wrote:(5) I am doing an MBA because I want to be a rich and you know higher position like CEO in corporate sector. So, Is it good idea?
That's too broad and vague for bschool applicatios. You'll have to get into the specifics.

Your pre-MBA profile and post MBA goals will decide the RoI.

You don't need to have an extraordinary profile. But you do need to be flexible in your choices of programs.
Here's a list of folks with good (though not awesome) profiles who've done well for themselves - MBA scholarship success stories.

Apply prematurely dramatically reduces the odds of getting scholarships from the good schools.
So if you aren't in a hurry, wait till you get more experience.
Check out the average class profiles to see whether you are competitive and then take the plunge.

From your facebook updates, seems like you've got an IIM interview call. Hope you are able to convert it.
Good luck!

Dear Sir,
Could you advise me on some of the best GMAT online coaching packages for training while at home? I have heard of many online courses but I cant seem to calibrate the validity of their claims either?
