This thread is for those who are interested in getting information and some practice on the new GMAT Integrated Reasoning section.

Graphics Interpretation
An optometrist compiled the following data about his patients.
• If a patient was randomly selected, the chance that he or she wears contacts, or is colorblind, or both is
Select:
(A) 1 in 4
(B) 3 in 4
(C) 1 in 7
(D) 7 in 10
• If a patient was randomly selected, the chance that he or she is both near-sighted and color blind is
Select:
(A) 1 in 20
(B) 3 out of 10
(C) 3 out of 20
(D) 11 out of 20
Two-Part Analysis
A new motorcycle produced by ABC Company has a mileage of 40 miles per liter at 40 miles per hour. The mileage drops to 30 miles per liter if the speed reaches 50 miles per hour or drops to 30 miles per hour. What are the maximum and the minimum distance the bike can travel in ten hours and with ten liters of fuel if the speed during the entire journey is constant. Assume that the bike can go only at speeds of 30, 40 and 50 miles per hour. Make only one selection in each column.

1st should be 14/20 i.e. 7/10
we simply count the total symbols
and then count the required symbols falling in the category
9+5/20
2nd should be 3/20
only 3 symbols overlap in the required category
3rd was a bit confusing
I think the trick is here 'if the speed during the entire journey is constant'
so if it is only three speeds remain 30,40,50
with 30 miles per hour, he can go 300 miles with 10 liters in his tank
with 40 miles per hour, he can go 400 miles with 10 liters in his tank
with 50 miles per hour, he can go only 300 miles because he consumes 10 liters in his tank faster
therefore
300 and 400 ?
