Business Strategy Simulation Game - BizMAP Screens
Post by MBACrystalBall » July 11th, 2018, 1:36 pm
BizMAP is our homegrown and highly popular business simulation online game. It has been used by thousands of users - students, professionals, business schools, companies, and private trainers. You can access it here:
Business Simulation Online Game - BizMAP
Free vs premium
We've kept the online game free for individuals, which explains why it's so widely used across the world. The other reason is its simplicity.
We offer a premium version for corporate and academic use at a nominal charge. The user interface is cleaner and branded with the company/university logo. And there are no distracting menu links.
In terms of features, players can use the free version only for 4 quarters instead of 12. That limits their ability to take longer term decisions and see their impact on the business.
Fee for the premium version
For the first year of use, we're offering it at a discounted fee of USD 800 for the whole year (instead of the regular fee of USD 1000). That's for unlimited users and sessions.
This fee is applicable to the SCM game as well. If you'd like to buy both the games (SCM + BizMAP), the total fee is USD 1600 for the full year.
We don't offer any other (shorter duration) packages.
While we don't have a video for the SCM game (since it's so simple), here's one created by a university representative to demonstrate how BizMAP works: video
Some features shown in the video may not work in the current version. But it's a good introduction to what's possible in the simulation.
The game runs online, so you don't need any other software apart from a browser and internet connection.
Support
In contrast to the complex and expensive simulation games available in the market, our versions are intentionally designed to be simple. We don't have advanced features to record individual student scores. The entire team uses the same login credentials.
We can't offer any technical support, refunds or any customization. That allows us to keep the costs down and pass the savings to the users.
The free version available on our site (for individual use) includes all the features that we offer in the commercial version - with the one constraint mentioned earlier.
Feel free to use that for your evaluation before you decide whether you'd like to go ahead with the branded version for classroom use.
Since there's no instructor or admin dashboard, some universities / companies using the SCM / BizMAP Strategy game who want to record the best performance of their students ask them to take a screenshot of it and email it to the instructor for grading.
In the posts below we've shared snapshots of how the important screens look in the premium version.
If you'd like to sign up for the premium version, please send us an email: info [at] mbacrystalball [dot] com

Screen 2: Guidelines Page
After a successful login, you'll see this screen explaining how to use the game. It'll have your logo on the left. There are no other (distracting) menu options from our main site.
Our main landing page has more details on the context and process, that we aren't repeating here. Here's the link if you missed it earlier --> business simulation online game

Screen 3: Dashboard
This is the main screen where all the action happens. After reviewing the last quarter financials and supply chain management data (grey sections), you'll update/retain values in the 5 green fields in the decision-box on the left.

This screen also displays the definition of all the financial and operational terms used in this game.

Screen 4: Results and Performance Review
You'll see this screen when the game ends - after 12 quarters or you go bankrupt. You can see what the final status looks like for the financial and operational data.
When you are reviewing the graphs, one nice feature you can use is the 'show/hide' graph. Click on the colored boxes to display or turn off any line you want. Makes the graph less confusing to interpret when there are lesser criss-crossing lines.

You can scroll down to see more graphs at a granular level. More below...
