So would Like your advice!
profile X-92, XII-76, Grad-67 Fresher
CAT-97 XAT-97.5 CET- 99.6(MH Domicile)
Converts- XIMB BM
Rejects- SP J (wl 260s) NMIMS(1700s) MDI (610s), XLRI
The way i See it, I've got a couple of options
1)IT job @ TCS and prepare for CAT/XAT again

3)Take up XIMB or MDI PGPIM/HR
Could you advise on which path would be the best of these from your Experience? Thanks alot!
As I figure an MBA does fit into my plans of further Education, Could you also advise on what kind of opportunities does a job as a research Associate open for me post-mba? Thanks alot!
** XIMB = Xaviers Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar

Me and my wife are currently working in India. I have done a MBA from IIM and she is a CA. She wants to purse an MBA from USA. If she gets an admit, please suggest a plan for me. How can I shift and find a job in USA while she completes her course. Do I have to do another masters or should I wait till she completes her course ?
Thanks,
Prasaad.

I have completed my B.E in Electronics and Communication with 63% in the year 2013. But still I have not been able to find a job.
2 years after I'm confused what should I do and where should I go. I am not able to find job as a fresher. And now have no idea where should I go.Should i go for
1)MTECH.
honestly speaking right now I'm not interested in technical field further.
2)MBA
It has always attracted me. But there are some hurdles between me and my mba plans. I belong to a middle class family and B-Schools are quite expensive. Besides I doubt my ability in clearing GD-PI.
All these things are troubling me and I don't know in which direction I should go.
Please guide me.
Thanks in advance..

I am an MMS(marketing) graduate from Bharti vidyapeeth institute of management & research. I am 30 but have experience of only 2 years in jewellery industry that too in a customer service role.
However i want to get into Branding or Digital Marketing but since i have no experience in these, i am not able to get into these profiles.Hence i am considering doing a course from Digital Vidya in Digital MKTG but i am not sure is that will add any substantial value to my career.
i was thinking of Executive MBA so gave GMAT & scored 590 was considering if i will get any decent bschool in india.
To summarise i am confused as to how to get into Branding or Digital Marketing
so can you please suggest something that will add value to my career.
Thanks.

I am actually looking for some advice regarding online MBA . I am working and have 6.5 years IT experience. ( earlier had 2 year gap due to higher education ).
I have recently given GMAT second attempt - Got 640.
I was earlier considering full time MBA , but am bit doubtful about leaving job and again looking for placements.
Please suggest if online mba would be a good option and what will be the best colleges.
Thanks.

I am a new member to this site and happy to have found this resource. Request your guidance on my current problem.
I am currently working as a manager in an IT company, focusing on presales. I have 10 years of experience with leading IT companies. I have completed my graduation in science and a diploma in marketing(cannot be called an MBA) and have certifications like ITIL, PMP and Six Sigma. I am facing a mid career crisis and stagnation since past 2-3 years - stagnation, no progress (role or monetory) etc. I am not able to break into a better role as well. I am planning to take GMAT and do a 1 year executive MBA from any top B-schools. My academic record is above average and current salary is 15 lakhs. Do you think an MBA will give me the right edge? I read many articles here and felt strongly towards it, but there are many articles outside about the exaggerated placement records and salary figures in general. I know the learning will be precious, but at this stage I need to look at other factors as well. Looking forward to your guidance

I had contacted you on Facebook few days back giving you a brief of my profile and my problem as well.
I will elaborate my issue here.
I completed my B. Tech from Indraprastha University in New Delhi in 2011 and joined Accenture. I worked there for 4 years and now i have quit due to certain career aspirations and health issues which werent fine while i was working and hence with no backup and no new job in hand i quit.
I am planning to take gmat now to pursue my mba at a premier institute in either India or USA or China.
Please guide me if i should immediately take a job before sending out applications or if i should furnish my reasons to quit in front of adcoms.
Thank you in Advance.

I had contacted you through mail yesterday and thank you for your fast response, I am posting my questions in the this thread.
I completed my graduation from University of Hyderabad this year, my course was Integrate MA in Social Sciences (BA- Political Science, Economics)(Masters in History). I don't have any interest to pursue my education in the research field, and I want to do an MBA. As a social science graduate, I would like to do an MBA in CSR or any related field, or even in the sports management. As only foreign universities has good programs in these fields, most of which needs good years of experience, it becomes a prerequisite for me to get a job in the corporate sector which I am finding difficult with a non technical degree. So I am in a dilemma whether to crack CAT and pursue a conventional MBA in India without experience, or to find a job and pursue my MBA after 2 to 3 years. I would like to know your insight on this, and, in case of job hunting which all sectors or jobs will be suitable for me to gain the experience needed to pursue my MBA. And how can I better my position in the job market? Waiting for your reply eagerly.
Thanks
Rajeevan
