9 years of experience...GMAT Planned for June 2016
-What GMAT score do I need to get into institutes like ISB?
- Is my profile attractive for schools like ISB?
- Which other programs would be suitable for my profile
- Would you recommend any colleges outside of India?
There aren't too many Oil and Gas applicants applying to bschool. That helps in the differentiating department. We've got a blog post coming up in a few days about an O&G applicant who was offered an ISB admit within 3 minutes of starting the interview.
However, that being said, the level of experience matters as well. You'll have double the average experience of a typical ISB student. That makes you an outlier, which reduces not only the chances of getting in, but also the overall benefit you derive from a program like ISB.
Along with ISB, consider including other 1-year MBA programs in India (like IIMA PGPX) and Europe (IMD, Cambridge, Oxford etc). The international experience can be transformational.

1.5 yr, Associate Product Manager, e-commerce
GMAT 730 (Q48 V41 AWA6.0 IR8.0) GRE 329/340 (Q165 V164 AWA5.5)
a) Depth v/s Breadth: My profile is currently focused on product management for marketplace operations as well as seller experience. From the perspective of applying for an MBA, is getting a promotion more critical than getting experience across multiple geographies?
Should I focus on getting to the next level (PM) in my current company or should I focus on shifting to another sector (say, transport app) in a different geography to demonstrate experience breadth in the product management space?
A formal promotion (new designation) accompanied by an enhanced set of responsibilities would be best. International exposure early on in the career would be a nice feather in the cap.
If all these aren't possible at one shot, and if I had to pick just one, I'd go for the enhanced role and responsibilities which highlight the verticle growth (even without the designation).
b) Given the scores shared, is it advisable to retake the GMAT / GRE to bump the scores higher? Or should focus on building my profile and leave the scores alone?
Can you crack 750? Then sure worth a shot, since your experience level is less.
c) I don't have much exposure to volunteering / community services / NGO space. Is this critical for building a strong profile for a tier 1 school?
You have around 6-9 months to show some real impact. If there is a cause that you've been associated with, then it would be nice to show some leadership outside work.

Ambar,
The information here is too scanty to make a good assessment. Though you've mentioned your industry, the nature of your job/function and achievements are far more important. Also important to understand the expected/targeted GMAT scores as well as your academic pedigree - among other stuff. Feel free to post a more detailed profile.
Cheers,

GMAT 760 (Q49 V44), 0 yrs experience
cheap and best mba with good roi and scholarships
With the current profile (and no experience), it would be tough to get an admit from a good MBA program. You have cracked the GMAT in an impressive manner. Why not hold on for a few years and try to build an equally impressive profile?
MiM programs are always open, if you can't wait for (at least) 2+ years more.

i have working in a pharmaceutical company since 3 years in Production Department. Job is very boring and not in challenging mode, so ji have to turn to management sector in any field. so can you please guide me how is the management sector in healthcare management and which one i have to choose, either normal MBA or Healthcare MBA.
There's a lot of potential in the healthcare industry. With your prior background in the field, you don't need to target healthcare specific programs. Go for the best bschool you can get into (and afford). With a strong brand, you should be able to access more opportunities rather than a niche proram.

Qualifications ::
MBBS, MD, DM
Work Experience :: 15 years
1.What is the best course for me?
2. What should I focus more on as an elective?
It's good that you have been in managerial roles and your career plans aren't as radical as many others hope for. An EMBA should be a good fit given your experience and aspirations.
Check out some of these top Executive MBA programs in the world.
Go for a general management degree that'll expose you to all facets of business management, as that's what youd be doing in a few years. Get some good grounding in Marketing and Finance as well, if the course allows you to.

I have worked for more than five years in the washery planning division. What will be the most suitable choice for MBA in terms of college and field for me...
Your academic profile is strong. So is the GMAT score. However the work experience is quite niche.
Though you haven't elaborated on what you do in the role, I asssume it's a combination of strategic and operational responsibilities. The former skill is valued by consulting firms, and the latter by industries. That puts you in a good place to choose either stream.
The big challenge would be for you to show that your niche industry exposure does not limit you from exploring opportunities in other (more mainstream) sectors.

1.My age currently is 38 Years 1 Month, the tiem I will join school - any school - I will be 39 & half most probably - am I too old to join?
2.Is it worthwhile joing school now - given that I have very good renumeration package currently
3.I want to propel myself into higher orbit in Management - that is the prime motive of joining school - is joining school is right way?
For most conventional MBA programs, yes, the age would be a deterrent.
The number of programs that you can target dwindles down a lot.
You could consider programs like the Sloan Fellows. Read this story:

1. I am looking at an year long programs Said,Instead Asia ,ISB are some of my preferred destinations. How good are my chances for an admit in these colleges.
2. I am also interested in applying to MIB program at Fletcher. How good is it as it is not a ranked program.
3. Please also comment on ease of bagging a scholarship at all the 4 above listed programs based on my current profile
Some not-so-common combination of elements in your profile will make you stand out head and shoulders above the rest.
However, the crucial missing pieces in the puzzle are your goals and your GMAT score.
If you can manage those well, you'd be quite competitive at the schools you've listed.
Not sure why you've included Fletcher in the list along with the others that are in a different league. Given the option, I'd pick a few other top rated mainstream 1-year programs instead of the MIB.
